Firman Early Childhood Learning Center East is Head Start Collaboration with Childcare & Pre-Kindergarten Program. Children who are age and income eligible whose parent/guardian is currently employed, enrolled in school pursuing a high school diploma, GED, an undergraduate degree, or in a training program are eligible. Head Start/Pre-K is a well-rounded educational experience for families with children from three to five years of age. Some of the skills children will learn are: self help skills, sharing, taking turns, listening, following directions, problem solving, counting, and letter & number recognition.

At each Early Childhood Learning Center, we also provide services to children 2-3 years old. These children will transition to our Head Start/Pre-K program at the age of three is space is available.

Firman partners with Chicago Public Schools to provide pre-school enhancement for children 2-5 years old via the Prevention Initiative (2 years to Early 3 years) and Pre School For All (3-5 years).

Firman Community Services provides opportunities for parents to grow, discover, achieve, and gain skills of benefit to themselves, their children and other family members. Through their involvement, parents increase their skills and confidence level that enables them to better provide for their children's long-term development and education.
