On Saturday, August 20, 2005 Firman Community Services too part in the 76th Annual Bud Billiken Parade. The Bud Billiken Parade is the largest parade in the U.S. and Historically represents prparing children to go back to school. This year Firman had a “Royal Court Float”. and a Mrching/ dancing troupe from it’s School-Age program. The Royal Court float comprised of Ryan Lollar, Kanya Smit, Javon King, Destiny Bradford Watson, Kensaun McMorris, Keaunte Ferguson, Amber Hester, Mikalah Ellis, Keirra McCarter, and Armani Turner. Moreover, this year Firman had an information boothe in front of its Early Childhood Learning Center East site at 49010 S. King Drive to recruit children and families for its programs. “It was such a nice change to be directly involved in the Bud Billiken Parade and with the people veiwing the parade”, started M. Young, President/CEO. “Unfortunately it rained, but we think a good time was had by all,” concluded Young. |
